Syngonium podophyllum "Albo Variegata"
Native to most of central and South America; this rampant growing vine is one of the most commonly grown houseplants, in a massive variety of forms. This form, ‘albo’ is designated by the delicately marbled, white speckled leaves that seem to come one after another; one of the fastest growing aroids in the world. Though any Syngonium does more than adequate in a basket or typical pot; this specific variety thrives when put on a moss pole-the arrowhead shaped primary leaves will become deeply lobed, first in three sections, then five, with these larger, mature foliage leaves displaying the same beautifully diverse and marbly variegation. Propagations are one of the fastest to root amongst all aroids; roots emerging from stem-nodes in water in a week’s time, which quickly overtake any potting media, allowing for a plant that has all the hallmarks of a high-value, variegated aroid without the crazy pricing.
