One of the first popular houseplant varieties of Epipremnum pinnatum was this lovely blue clone introduced from the city of its namesake; Cebu, in the Philippines. The turquoise blue leaves and quick growth pattern made the variety a smashing success with the budding houseplant community, and it has since become nothing short of iconic. It is practically unkillable and very, very easy to propagate; it even makes for a good emersed plant to grow with the roots suspended in a fish tank. When growing ‘Cebu Blue’, it’s important to keep the vines managed well; as the bases of vines become quite bare after a time, giving the plant an unsavory appearance. However, this is quickly overcome by cutting and propagating said vine.
