Hoffmannseggi "black" is a locale of hoffmannseggi collected in Spain that doesn't have any white in between the segments, unlike the other varieties. The are identical in care and size, just a different appearace. They should have a moisture gradient, with about 1/4 of the setup moist, and significant airflow. They also require hefty protein and calcium sources in order to thrive.
An interesting observation many have reported on this species is that they will nest with and guard their young through the first 2 molts.
