These spectacular isopods are native to dry, mountainous areas of Spain. They present with a fantastic sexual dimorphism making sexing members easy, as males have significantly longer uropods. These animals reach spectacular lengths; uropods included, males may measure over 3cm.
Haasi are theorized to be seasonal breeders producing in the spring and summer. A calcium source should be made available to allow for their size growth, as well as a protein source. The most important part of their diet is rotten would should be available in substrate. They prefer a predominantly dry tub with only a small moist area to wet themselves.
