This plant is believed to be a cultivar hybrid, possibly created by Keith Henderson a botanist from Australia. They give this plant the nickname tiger tooth because of its deeply serrated leaves that resemble a tiger tooth. Philodendron ‘Jungle Boogie’ is likely a hybrid crossed between Philodendron tortum and P. wendlandii. Jungle Boogie is a good starter plant due to it being easy to care for.
