Philodendron "Birkin" is believed to have originated as a spontaneous mutation from a cultivar of Philodendron "Congo Rojo". Philodendrons hail from Central and South America, and thrive in bright indirect light, high humidity, and a weekly watering schedule. Unlike most Philodendron, "Birkin" has an upright growth habit, resembling a bush. It has leaves with a light green center darkening to the edges with an ombre effect, but the show stopping feature is the white veins. "Birkin" does well in bright, indirect light, high humidity and a weekly watering schedule.
