N. capensis is another dwarf isopod. In comparison to other, more popularly kept species, its breeding rate is a tad slow, but makes up for it in a slightly larger body size. Specimens in this culture may be cream, grey, purple, or a combination of these colors. so sometimes these cultures are offered with the note "party mix" due to the variety. They like to be kept at a temperature above 72F and enjoy rotten wood, but do not need it to survive.
