Commonly known as jade/jade plant, this delightful little succulent holds a lot more merit than most people believe. Thick, fleshy leaves form in pairs that stack and eventually recede into a stem that forms a thick, woody caudex meant for water retention. With very little attention, a small plant can proliferate into a patio-perfect specimen. These gorgeous succulents form what is essentially a bonsai without the need for training, wire or trimming; and are basically no maintenance. Furthermore, jade is the perfect plant for sharing; each broken leaf can produce a whole new plant, or even multiple! At the apex of the life of a mature Crassula ovata; the plant produces a series of huge, intricate flower umbels, drupes containing thousands and thousands of tiny, white flowers, a fireworks show like no other.
