The Jade Plant is quite the common houseplant and can be found with a few different names, Jade Tree, Friendship plant, or Money plant. The Crassula Ovata Jade Plant is one species out of about 300 diverse genera, part of the orpine family, half of these are native to southern Africa. The Jade Plant sports thick stalks and egg-shaped emerald green, sometimes a lighter green, leaves. This is a very easy to grow succulent as it stores water in its leaves, stems and roots. Which means you can leave it in a nice sunny window or a bright plant light and just forget about it! It may be a slow grower, but it sure is a shower!
