Hoya wayetii is often mistaken for H. shepherdii due to similar structure and shape of leaves. In comparison to shepherdii, wayetii leaves are not as long and are wider. It is native to the Philippines, and does well in bright, indoor lighting and allowing soil to dry between watering.
