Hoya curtsii was named in honor of Charles Curtis, the Superintendent of Gardens and Forests in Penang, Malasia. It is native to the wet tropics of SouthEast Asia. It is a vining Hoya that can be trained upward on a trellis, but we prefer to grow it in a hanging basket. It has small, round leaves that are clumped together and are beautiful while hanging. It grows well in bright, indirect light and should be allowed to dry between waterings.
