Product Details
Hoya carnosa "Krinkle 8" is a cultivar that was described in 1978 by Barnell L Cobia & Stephen H. Griffith. The original description of the cultivar was "A mutation of the hoya carnosa krinkle 8 variety" meaning it was a mutation appearing from a carnosa plant. Some sources incorrectly cite Krinkle 8 as a result of hybridization of H. carnosa x H. carnosa compacta (hindu rope). This cultivar of Hoya rembles opened bean pods, with round indents on the inside of leaves and curled edges. There is also a varigated variety. Like other Hoya, it does well in indoor lighting and needs soil to be dry between waterings.
