Freycinetia cf. elegantula has been noted as native to the Philippines, Indonesia, and New Guinea. It has a peculiar, cube like growth habit that causes the plant to grow similar to playdough squished through a square mold and spill over the sides of a pot. It needs high humidity, and thrives on bright, indirect light.
