Product Details
Though the genus Ficus is mostly recognized for containing edible figs, and hedges, trees and topiaries for landscaping; there are a huge variety of species that don’t fit this description whatsoever. Ficus villosa, a Singaporean beauty, is quite different from the cultivated fig. Large, overlapping copper-green leaves quickly crowd one another out as a wire-thin vine clings to the backing surface. For terrariums, Ficus villosa can cover a whole wall in dense, fluffy, bullate leaves, but this species can be grown with the same level of glory when poised as a houseplant. As long as humidity is maintained at a level at or above 70%, Ficus villosa makes a more than adequate houseplant, something that really draws attention when grown alongside species not as spectacular.
