Product Details

The Burro’s Tail is a tropical species that has been grown as an ornamental for its green foliage. This succulent can also be called a donkey’s tail and has many other common names. It is native to southern Mexico and Honduras, and is found as a house plant in most parts of North America. Burro’s Tail received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit in 1993. A beautiful plant with trailing stems and blue-green leaves with a silvery bloom that rubs off when handled. This plant will start out with stems that grow upright, eventually they will grow tall and with how heavy the leaves get from storing water they will start to trail. Burro’s Tail will do best with bright light to full sun, give it well-draining soil, such as a cactus mix. Be careful not to over water this plant and let it nearly dry all the way out in between watering.
