Product Details
Begonia "Cracklin' Rosie" is an upright cane begonia hybrid that Walter Dworkin created by crossing Begonia "Silvermist" and Begonia "Salmon Rubra" around 1990. Dworkin named the cultivar after Neil Diamond's song "Cracklin' Rosie" and is known for naming many of his other cane hybrid cultivars after rock and roll songs. The hybrid is recognizable by its large, fluted, deep green leaves with pink spots and red undersides, with occasional pink clusters of flowers. I'm personally fond of the leaves because of their dramatic, frilled edges that spill downward, resembling a ball gown dress.

This Begonia propegates easily in prop boxes, and thrives in high humidity with indirect light.
