Armadillidium vulgare "Everything bagel"
"Everything bagel" is initially a mutation that spontaneously manifested in a Japanese magic potion culture of vulgare. The original specimens were white with yellow flecks, but no black spots and had this odd hue of orange.
In the past year since I initially separated them, this group has produced drastically variable animals- from piebald vulgare that look similar to penguins, to orange piebald, to odd tiger stripes and splattering of oranges. I've isolated these to individual projects, but all the outliers we keep throwing back to the "Everything bagel" tub as they are simply to lovely to throw out.
Vulgare do well in temperate and semi-arid environments. They are not recommended for tropical due to issues molting in high humidity. They enjoy eating many soft bodied plants.
