Armadillidium sp. "Twisted Clown"
Armadillidium sp. "Twisted Clown" is allegedly a hybrid species produced and named by Orin McMonigle. His findings were posted in the Insects magazine. This culture was produced out of a mixed bin of A. versicolor x A. klugii, and admittedly portrays traits of both parents species to different degrees. They trend smaller than the klugii, and may have red skirting, more frequent, smaller spots, large splotches of spots, or red edging on segments. It produces quite the variety of individuals.
