Armadillidium klugii "Midnight" is a dual expression culture; it is derived from the "Pudding" gene, which was isolated out of "Montenegro". The "Pudding" inhibits the red skirting typically present in klugii. This culture further has been line bred to have reduced to no spotting; some are entirely black.
Klugii do well in temperate to semi-arid environments. They may have issues molting in tropical environments, and like to eat soft bodied plants.
