Armadillidium corcyraeum "silver"

In stock
Product Details

The "silver" variation of corcyraem hasn't been identified specifically, but is likely a hypomelanistic variation lightening the dark bands. The result is a beautiful slate grey rather than black bands on corcyraem.

Corcyraeum are a species native to Greece. They have a fun characteristic of white spots on black, making them resemble inverted dalmatians. Care requirements are similar to vulgare or other Armadillidium species; a dry area, wet area, and 2" of soil for burrowing and shedding. Like all others in the Armadillidium genus, corcyraeum roll into a ball.

Corcyraem do well in temperate to semi-arid environments. They may have issues molting in tropical environments, and like to eat soft bodied plants.
